Truly an amateur, but I love looking for the perfect shot and taking pictures that are both natural and require no editing. When I edit pics, I'm looking for a unique take on a picture that's already good when I start. I can't say I've found my perfect picture yet, but I'll keep working on that.

I've posted pics I think are good enough to let others look at (I throw out the real junk first) and am always interested in comments or critical analysis.

I got a Nikon D5000 a couple years ago and have found I'm taking so many more photos these days that it's sometimes difficult to decide which pics I want to share. I'd rather not edit photos for the most part, but sometimes I just like to play around. Gimp works well enough for now... Maybe someday I'll take the time and money to learn photoshop.
