After overlapping careers as a professional musician, a scene painter, and a theatre director, Victor Allen Simon first photographed with intent in the summer of 1995.

He was awarded the Al Smith Fellowship by the Kentucky Arts Council in 1997. It was also during this year that he gave his first solo gallery exhibition. In 1998, Simon was granted a two-week residency in Deauville, France, again under the auspices of the KAC.

He's been exhibiting at galleries, cafes, and juried art shows since 1997. In 2003, he was invited to create images honoring the Louisville Ballet's 50th Anniversary.

The Louisville Graphic Designers Association recognized Simon with Gold and Silver Awards for Photography in 2005 and 2006. He continues to work in advertising photography at Warren Lynch & Associates in Louisville, KY.
