I am quite taken with photography. It is the most recent in a long line of art related ventures during my life. For the most part I see them as related or to say it another way I am drawing on things I have learned in other art venues and finding ways to see photography in that same "artful eye" way.

I was surprised to find out how relaxing it is to take your camera around on a photoshoot and tranport yourself into the other dimensions, the dimensions where you don't let a single thing pass you by, where you see, not just look. The dimensions where your camera becomes a paintbrush and a frame all at the same time. I rarely want to leave. I usually have to because I have run out of compact flash space. I am in need of some equipment upgrading to truly provide for a long photoshoot.

I am just new enough to get super excited when people leave comments about my photos. I hope to learn from the extreme amount of talent that surrounds me in this Flickr environment.
