After a hiatus of a few years, I have rediscovered the joy of shooting photos. Most of my inspiration comes from the natural world, particularly from landscapes and from plants in their natural environment. Abstracts and minimal photos have also captivated me and have expanded the ways I see the world around me.

I have lived in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA for the last 25+ years. The extreme and ever-changing seasons provide a continuing variety of subjects and moods to photograph.

In 2011 I purchased a large format (4x5) view camera. I've wanted to learn to use one for many years. It's an amazing learning experience, being both frustrating and enjoyable at the same time. I'm starting to get the hang of it, but there's always more to learn. Part of the fun of it for me.

I'm particularly grateful for the many kind and helpful comments I have received from my Flickr contacts. There are some truly awe-inspiring photographers here and many are very generous with their knowledge and their time. I welcome any criticisms, suggestions, or hints you may have as to how I can improve my photos. Thanks to you all!
