I'm just a hobby photographer, but I work in a visual field, Theatrical Lighting Design, so I have a lot of pics of shows I've lit, or other interesting lighting shots. I love art and photography and would have gone into it professionally if theatre hadn't intervened.

I love nature shots. There is inherant elegance and beauty in a cloud formation or a tree, and, needless to say, infinite variety. I love pics of women, the quintessence of beauty; and, again, there's infinite variety. I don't get out to shoot as much as I'd like, but I do what and when I can. I also don't have the dedication to invest in a high-end camera, so I'm using a simple Sony DSC-W7, but you don't need high-end gear to make good photos.

I also don't believe in Photoshopping photos. If I do any alterations to my pics I'll say so up front. I like trying to capture what I see, not what I'd LIKE to see, or "what the scene really was, but the picture didn't turn out right." It ceases to be photography and becomes Graphic Art. No problem with that, some of my favorite Flickr photos are 'Shopped pieces with a clever or funny twist (Some day I want to try a clone shot).
