A few years ago, I was fortunate enough to acquire a late-WW2 Volkswagen Type 82 (Kubelwagen). Having restored a couple of Cold-War period Bundeswehr vehicles prior to this, it was nice to take on a historic piece like the VW82.

Although it has so far been impossible to trace the vehicles WW2 history (apart from where it ended-up), the car was purchased just after the war by a movie effects company and spent the following 55 years as a prop in a number of WW2 - themed films.

The purpose of this site is therefore to collect together those pics of the vehicle during the `movie` period, and a number of pics immediately prior to and following my restoration works - which is very much an ongoing project.

As for the vehicles history, it is my intention to summarise that as a Blog in due course.
