Hi! I'm a Brit and I’ve lived in Indonesia for over 10 years now; most of the time in Jakarta but also a few years in Surabaya.

Having done a fair amount of travel writing, I hope to bring up my photography skills to a reasonable standard so I can produce a few travelogues!! Maybe a book will come in time!

Personally, I much prefer street and action photography to scenic/still life photography, partly as it takes so damn long to get to these really scenic places (!!), but also because I find that urban life in a developing city like Jakarta is fascinating itself. Having said that, Bali is great too!
