Blaž Petkovič is a Slovene journalist, member of Slovene Association of Journalists (Društvo novinarjev Slovenije) and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). He covers internal politics and social issues for Dnevnik daily in Ljubljana. Prior to that, he was a journalist at Primorske novice (regional daily newspaper; 2002 to 2009) and as a student, editor of student newspaper Klin (Faculty of Social Sciences at Ljubljana University; 2004 and 2005). He also works in the field of video production. Among others, he produced a video for Slovene band Niet and DVD Izštekani: Niet which was published by ZKP RTV Slovenija – publishing house of Slovene public broadcasting service. Both in his professional and personal life, Blaž is passionate about urban subcultures and socio-political issues. He was born in the coastal city of Koper (17. march 1983) but lives in Slovene capital, Ljubljana, with his wife and daughter. He graduated in journalism in 2010 (Faculty of Social Sciences at Ljubljana University).
