A transport enthusiast all my life and a photographer for well over 40 years. I am a retired professional railwayman with a particular interest in the Southern electric system. Prior to joining the railway, I spent a little over 17 years in the bus industry and have a keen interest in the West Yorkshire Road Car Company, its antecedents and its successors. My photographs reflect those interests. I am also developing an interest in old signposts and mileposts and in traditional postboxes and telephone kiosks, and a number of photographs of those also appear.

Now that I've bought myself a pro account and got myself a new and better slide scanner, I'll be uploading a lot of older photos in a number of categories. The opportunity to create more sets will also allow me to organise my photos more efficiently. I have also bought myself a copying stand and have discovered that it is easier and quicker to photograph some of these old prints with my trusty Nikon D3000 or my equally trusty D90 than it is to scan them. Such is the progress that I have digitised over 100 prints in one day, and I have just uploaded no less than 30 Ledgard images in a matter of minutes.
