I got my first camera when I was 7, a Kodak Instamatic and have been taking photos ever since.
I have always been interested in wildlife, and enjoy spending time to capture the amazing creatures and plants I come across. My last 34 years working in the rope access industry has allowed me to take some unusual images from angles and places most people don't get a chance to be in; now working offshore on an oil rig still dangling off ropes for a living.
For fun I enjoy rock climbing and a good stroll on the hills, this gives me the opportunity to take some interesting images of the climbing, landscapes and the wildlife I encounter.
Something I have got into more and more over the years is exploring abandoned and derelict buildings, culverts and tunnels as well as long forgotten air raid shelters and other hidden gems. Often seeing things people haven’t seen for years and probably most don’t know exist. This has improved my long exposure and light painting techniques a lot and has provided me with many an enjoyable day with like minded people.
What I enjoy most is someone else enjoying or finding an image I have taken interesting. After all it's all just a bit of my life :-)
