short and balding, but with a keen sense of humour and a lust for life (and whisky).

The monkey in my Icon is a long-tailed macacque that I managed to annoy in Malaysia last year. It sat in a tree and snarled at me because I did an impression of it.

Life is sometimes like that

Jules has been pestering me to join Flickr for some time now and I've finally taken the plunge, ironically enough with a collection of photos taken when I managed to steal his camera! Having had a quick skim through Julian's submissions I'm now suffering from a serious inferiority complex which I can add to the hangover he kindly gave me the other night (why oh why did I say yes to the whisky??) I've known Julian a frighteningly long time (is it really 16 years?) He's always been the life & soul of the party but is always there when you need him. A wonderful friend who sadly suffers from a pathological hatred of his own liver, Mr Whisky Soon is always up to something and is startlingly creative. With the addition of a new D-SLR, who knows what we'll be seeing next? I don't know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

I've known Julian for a frighteningly long time - some 23 years. He's a thoroughly decent chap who is always ready to do anything for a friend, always ready with a joke to cheer you up when you need it. A get together with friends is always that much more lively and fun if Julian is there. He approaches everything in life with, at the very least, gusto and in some cases a dangerous disregard for his own safety, and is generally good at everything he tries his hand at. I look forward to seeing what he comes up with on Flickr.
