50+ years, in Alaska for 20+ years. Interests include astronomy, motorcycle touring, bicycle touring and of course, photography....mostly medium & large format BW. Finally switched to the digital darkroom a few years ago. For me, it's still important to make prints...I enjoy the look and feel of a fine art print, which I realize is less important to many folks in this age of the digital image. Because I enjoy the look and feel of a print, I've been an active participant for the past five years in a monthly BW print exchange. On the other hand, it's great to be able to view and share images with people from all over the world....thanks to places and forums like Flickr.
