I am 70+ years and have lived in Alaska for 40+ years. My interests include photography (especially print making), astronomy, motorcycle riding/touring, bicycle riding/touring and bird watching (but are not limited to). In the past my photography was mostly with medium & large format BW film. Now I shoot both film (35mm to 4x5 formats) and digital (mFT to MFD formats). I switched from an analog wet darkroom to the digital darkroom for final image processing and printing in the early 2000s. I am primarily interested in making prints of photos, both my photos and those of friends. I enjoy the look and feel of a fine art print, which I realize is now less important to many people in this age of the digital image. Because I enjoy the look and feel of a print, I've been an active participant and often coordinator for 20+ years in a BW and color print exchange. On the other hand, it's great to be able to view and share images with people from all over the world....thanks to places and forums like Flickr.
