Mia is a photographer who see's the world through her own lens. She has intrigued me with her artistic views of the East Coast, which are always a special treat, having never been there myself. Mia has taken me on many a visual adventure through her world and each and every time I have enjoyed the trip tremendously. I love her views of the ocean when it is peaceful with boats resting in the harbor and sunsets that are nothing but breathtaking. To the raging waves at hurricane strength that rise and fall with a vengeance, Mia is always there to capture it all. THE GIRL HAS NO FEAR! I often wonder how she endures the elements to achieve these awe inspiring shots. Mia's range of photographic imagery is vast! When I first came to know her I was mesmerized by her fantastic insect macro's. I could not be pulled away from each new creature who had been captured by her amazing eye for detail. Mia LOVES insects like no one else and this is shown in an extremely artistic fashion. She focuses in on the beauty few see in a spider resting inside its elaborate web to a fly or mosquito sitting on her hand. I think Mia could be described as the "insect whisperer" because she has a magical way with every insect who wanders in front of her lens. Let me not forget the wonderful bird captures Mia has collected from pigeons, seagulls, ducks the list goes on and on. I can't stop here because I would be amiss not to mention her captivating assateague wild ponie series. Mia is one of a kind in the world of digital photograhy. I guess my best advice would be to make a visit to her photostream. You will be amazed at her range of work. One of the things I enjoy most about Mia is her wonderful sense of humor. She makes me smile as soon as I see her buddy icon show up on my recent post. I know Mia is going to have a comment that is not only informative but humorous at the same time. She can always make a gloomy day sunny! I have enjoyed our virtual lunch dates sharing a hot bowl of soup with some flavored Gateoraide. And maybe just maybe a cookie for dessert. I can't leave without one more note: Mia has become extra artsy recently moving her already interesting and beautiful imagery into the world of pure ART! Adding amazing techniques to push her work into a new fascinating direction!! By the way she won't share with me - ghostbones - lol... THANKS MIA, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
