Konnichiwa! Jeannette desu!

There you go. I have now exhausted a good portion of my Japanese language ability. This is not surprising because I majored in Fine Arts and not Japanese. I do love the language and culture of Japan though, as well as many other areas of Asia.

I was raised in Europe and the early and constant exposure to the art and architecture of various countries convinced me by the age of 6 that I wanted to be an artist. Nothing and no one has ever been able to convince me otherwise. I paint big with oils, small with acrylics and not at all with watercolors. I do printmaking, sculpture and photography. I can make a rocking sandcastle and have made igloos that deserve to be in Architectural Digest. (No lie, they were good.) I suck wildly at throwing pots and glass blowing scares me. Exposure to new places, people and food (let's face it, I travel for food,) has had an enormous influence on me and my work. I'm currently working my way through Asia. Since finishing my Bachelor’s degree my current goal is learning to paint fast enough to ward off starvation.
