A 2% old school vaner. If you understand what this means, you can relate to the vanning world for over 30 years. I have been into vanning starting with my first truck-in at Butler, Pennsylvania to my last truck-in at Fiesta Key Van-Fest. All through the years I have been building custom vans, as shown in my custom van pics. Some of the vans that I built were show vans, but were also driven daily and to numerous truck-ins including Nationals from East Coast to West Coast, from Canada to Florida. I am still, as you can see with my latest van, trucking around and have been a member of different van clubs over the years. Currently, I am a lifetime member of Midwest Vans Ltd. I enjoy vanning all these years and I have met a lot of nice people and friends with the same interests. Vanning has declined since the 70's and 80's, but is now on an upsurge, as I am seeing more custom vans in magazines and at car shows. Currently, our family is called the Astro Kings, as my wife owns a 2001 Astro, my son owns a 1988 Chevy Astro, his girlfriend owns a 1987 Astro and of course my 1985 chopped Astro van.
