Vicki is by far one of my favorite contacts on Flickr. Not only is she a great photographer but she has a wry sense of humor that, in my book, is an attribute to be prized above all others. Plus, she never takes herself too seriously (except when she watermarks her photos with “Victoria” and gets all artsy on us!). Her pet portraits are first class (but of course she’s helped by having great models) and she pretty much works with everything from hamsters to horses. Her dogs, though, get the royal treatment (except when they are being made to work for food and stand in the most humiliating of poses – the woman has no shame and will do anything to get "the shot"!). Fortunately, she doesn't resort to these tactics when photographing her son -- uh, you don't, do you Vicki? Seriously, though, Vicki's photography is consistently of the highest quality and I always look forward to her latest post. She is a master with the nifty fifty and creates the most amazing bokeh shots, a talent I totally envy. Her macro images are fabulous and her cross-processing color work is second to none. Her texture work is also very creative and brings another dimension to her photography. Needless to say, I'm a big fan! I am glad I found Vicki very early in my Flickr experience, and I look forward to finding continuing inspiration in her photostream in the future.
