Just a bit about me live in Hull England I retired from Full time work in April 2014 My passions are music my garden literature and travelling
After two years on flickr I felt it was time to review my profile. I have been a keen photographer for some time but I am still very much a novice. I have no particular subjects I concentrate on, though I suppose travel shots and gardens feature a lot being my main interests. I am not very technical and apart from very basic editing I have neither the time skill on inclination to do any elaborate processing. I am most pleased with a shot if it’s SOOC. I prefer shot to look simple so avoid frames, textures and the like. I have enjoyed posting on flickr have made some good contacts and admired some astonishing photographic skill.
CONTACTS/FOLLOWERS
Contacts are very important to me and as I am fairly busy I restrict myself to about 100 people.
However if someone becomes my contact I will commit myself to keeping up with their work and commenting regularly. I see no point in being a contact if you do not do this.
CAN I ASK YOU POLITELY THAT IF YOU DO ASK TO BE MY CONTACT THEN I WOULD EXPECT YOU TO COMMENT ON AT LEAST SOME OF MY SHOTS, OTHERWISE WHAT'S THE POINT?
I WILL NOT FOLLOW YOU IF YOU HAVE HUNDREDS OF CONTACTS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP UP WITH THAT MANY PEOPLE.
ALSO IF YOU ONLY FAVE MY IMAGES I WILL NOT WANT TO FOLLOW YOU AS I AM MORE INTERESTED IN WHAT YOU Write.
FLICKR IS SURELY ABOUT INTERACTION OR IT IS POINTLESS AND JUST PRESSING THE F KEY IS NOT INTERACTION
All this being said the contacts I have made have been the best aspect of flickr. Many I have known and even met over the past few years
Thank you for reading this and having a look at my shots. Hope you found the odd one pleasing
Best wishes

Keith has been one of my most valued Flickr friends for a few years now. I had the pleasure of meeting Keith and his wife Mary in Vancouver last year during which time we had a chance to do a brief photoshoot together at a West Vancouver lighthouse. It was a memorable occasion for all of us due to my failure to take Keith and Mary down the correct trail to the waterfront leading to a slip and minor injury to my forearm. On a more important note, I have always admired Keith's photographs from his extensive travels, and his beautiful images from his garden and around his home in Yorkshire. HIs photographs are always so well composed and technically correct. His commentary is extensive and always educational. Keep up your great work Keith and enjoy going out every day with your camera. There is so much more to photograph.

I first noticed Keith when he commented on my pictures. And I was immediately fascinated by the wonderful spelling for praise but also criticism. So I decided to look around in his photo stream. And yes, I was very impressed, Mr. Keith can not only comment nicely and honestly, but also photograph imaginatively, creatively and originally. I especially like his artistic elements in photography. In short, he is a photographer with talent. Best regards from Ondré.

They say, a journey starts with the first step.......it's not the destination, but the adventure in getting there. Keith is the first step, the adventure in getting there & the destination ! His travels have produced images from Europe, Africa, India, the U. S. to name a few. He has captured the exotic, the wild, flora and fauna, architecture and a volume of interesting subjects. To quote him, he says, "when not traveling, i dream of traveling." We are all well journeyed on flickr because of people like Keith who openly share their adventures through photography. I for one have been transformed because of his ability to capture, focus, and color our world. Thank you Keith for the first step, the adventure in getting there and the destination ! All the Best JaneJHJ
