2006 East Coast phone pics:

once upon a time I was a "photographer"; then I pretty much stopped taking pictures (not even snapshots or travel pics - despite lots of socializing and traveling).

recently I drunkenly broke my antiquated cell phone and got a camera phone. now I am taking pictures again.

there is a limit to how seriously you can take yourself when you are only taking phone pics. I think that's probably a good thing.

carnie pics:

me and my good friend Mike aka Leisure Muffin finally got our shit together and compiled all the photos from our very strange short-lived career as carnies, Spring 2006. The 3 sets are a mix of my crappy phone pics and better-quality photos that me or the Scruffin took on his digital camera.

Cast of Characters: Us and our co-workers... mostly lo-fi phone pics.

Places: The carnival ended up in New Jeruvistan but these are mostly photos from our time in the South. No matter how many times I go there it always seems exotic and picturesque... that is if you're like me and think that abandoned gin factories and blighted downtowns are "picturesque".

The rides: I wish we had more pics of setup and teardown, but frankly we were just working too damn hard at those times. But there are lots of before-and-after pics so those of you who are more mechanically inclined may be able to deduce much of the process.
