Amateur photographer for a while now... got my first camera when I turned 11 (a Minolta Autopak, used 110 film), but it hit me real bad when I was around 20 and started using a Pentax Spotmatic (completely manual) with some good lenses that my Dad had bought many years back and was not using much anymore.
I learned a lot by just reading and trying, trying, trying... developed a lot of useless prints on the way. :-)
A couple of years ago I got my first digital camera... budget would not allow an SLR so I very carefully looked at the compacts out here and picked out the Pentax Optio 750Z. It is a GREAT little camera, and almost all of my pictures here have been taken with it.
One problem I have is that I value A LOT what a photographer is able to accomplish with the light, setting, tools, etc that he or she has available the moment the picture is taken. Therefore, I'm not really much into postprocessing. Part of me admits this is dumb... end result is what matters, so what do you care if the picture was manipulated? Anyways, that's me.
Needless to say, most (if not all) of my pictures here have no postprocessing at all. Maybe that will change with time.
Enough for now... thanks for coming by!!!
