George was born in Australia and lectures frequently on cruise ships exploring all corners of our planet. He has entertained and informed thousands of passengers with his photos and ecological and cultural insights; including tales of fascinating creatures of all sizes and appetites.

He received his BSc in biology from UBC in Vancouver and his MA in environmental governance from Griffith University, Queensland Australia.

George has over thirty-five years of professional experience; as a Naturalist and photographer with Canada’s National Parks, as a Registered Professional Biologist, and Senior Consultant for terrestrial and marine strategies in British Columbia.
