hi, i'm Haruko. nice to unofficially meet you.

i'm a freelance photographer dealing mostly with portraits of people. the models i take photos of are mostly friends and family, some by direct contact, others through the net or through the phone.

i'd like to think of my photos as more of an illusion than something real or life-like. i try to make my photos seem like a dimension into a whole different section of this world where the eccentric way of dress, expressions, and background is reality.

i like to work alone most of the time. with one or two friends as assistants. hair styling, makeup, clothing selections and locations are all chosen and done by me. after all, i work freelance so i have a lot of free time on my hands to do all these things.
