I'm a Congressional District Leader volunteer for the ONE Campaign and a big U2 fan. I got involved with the fight against extreme poverty back in 2001 when I heard Bono speak about it at a U2 show. I was floored when I learned the ridiculous number of people who die from lack of clean water, sanitation, and preventable, treatable diseases. In a world of plenty, it is unacceptable for a child to die from lack of food in his/her belly or for lack of a 50 cent immunization. Senseless! I am doing what I can through the ONE Campaign.
