I'm a retired environmental scientist with an interest in photography. It's an interest both my husband Geoff and I are discovering together. I'm amazed at how far I have progressed in a short time and awed by how much more I have to learn. I have discovered that sculptures, statues, architectural details and wildlife are my favorite things to photography. My new hobby is teaching me patience, a virtue I do not have and probably never will! I am exploring my own habitat with new eyes and visiting places I previously quickly passed by.

I have come to the conclusion if archaeology was something I was expose to in my formative years in my remote northern Canadian locale, my profession may have been different. Museums interest me, probably because we have so few were I have lived and currently live.

I have fallen in love with Rome. The atmosphere, history, people and climate. ....And no, not because I'm catholic, the city speaks to my soul. I look forward to another city bring forth the same response. I know there is one out there. Chichen Itza, Mexico is a close second.

I'm an avid golfer, curler and reader. We are at the stage in our life where travel is a luxury we can enjoy. Now if only we can change me to a type B...definitely not in this lifetime. Maybe we do live mutiple lives, so there may be hope for me after all.

Enjoy my photostream.. I will review my contacts photos but my schedule impacts my ability to always comment. I however make an effort to review photos you take. Many provide inspiration for my own future photos. Thank you for your comments.
