I do Television shots for fun and make artistic pieces from them as well as more traditional photography, photoshop and some hdr, which I mainly taught myself to do.

My background is film photography from the time I was a kid. I have a BS (no kidding) in Radio and Television Production in 19??? from the University of Florida (Go Gators) {think ? and the Mysterians}. I studied art, photography, PhotoShop and graphic design at various times during the 20th Century at City College of San Francisco.

Walker is one of my oldest and closest Flickr friends. He’s very supportive of others’ work -- his open-mindedness and positive energy encourages their creativity. His own work is refreshingly experimental, playful and focused. He envisions a world so colorful, joyful, curious and compelling, it is sometimes hard to tell if he is creating an enhanced version of this world or documenting his travels throughout another one -- a place normally glimpsed fleetingly in a window’s reflection or out of the corner of one’s eye. He is a great asset to the Flickr community.

I've never written a testimonial for someone before but I felt in this case I needed to start. Walker Dukes impresses and inspires me a lot because like a true artist, he does art exactly for the right purpose, himself. He creates his film still masterpieces because that is what he enjoys, and he continues about his work without the slightest thought of whether public recognition is around the corner or not....it's all about him doing what he wants to do, period. In a flickr world of "comments" "faves" and "interestingness" obsessed people, it's refreshing to see someone not afraid to be original.
