I am a Midwest gal that has travelled the world - first as a Peace Corps volunteer and then through working in international development. Now I have a day job in arts administration and get to travel a little bit but nothing like before. I am the proud mother of a little girl that came my way through international adoption. All other waking hours are spent in my studio. Rural Abandon Jewelry is designed and handcrafted in my studio in rural Iowa. I focus on designs that are sculptural, interactive and often have an added touch of wit. I am a second generation jeweler, happily carrying on a tradition of quality and craftmanship passed down to my from my father.
