Hi Folks,

I'm retired (a little early) from ConocoPhillips as a career IT guy. My wife and I have relocated to Oklahoma City to be in the vicinity of our grandkids. Oh, it also just happens to be where their parents (our sons and their wives) live as well. ;-)

I have a little international experience by having lived in the UK for awhile, doing technology audits for Phillips Petroleum in Scotland, Norway, Belgium and England. I've spent time in China doing audits as well. Besides photography, my interests are fitness and music.

I've been involved with photography most of my adult life, starting with a little Kodak X-35 Instamatic in college. I bought my first 35mm camera in about 1983, a Fuji. After that I migrated to Pentax (SF1n) which I used up until 2008. I was at a camera workshop in 2007 with about 50 amateur photographers and asked for a straw poll as to who was shooting film and who had gone to digital. About 47 of 50 were digital. That was a real wake-up call for me. I hadn't realized the technology had progressed as far as it had. So now I shoot a Nikon D90; make that a D7200, make that a D750.

In retirement, one thing I do is to volunteer with the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief team. I went on three trips in 2011 and served as the unofficial photographer on each. To help document the activities for the team members, I prepared the following slideshows that I subsequently posted to YouTube. Some pictures are of the work and interspersed with those are some more "artsy" photographs.
