NASA, AERO Institute, Eagle Robotics, FIRST

 

ROBOTICS WORKSHOP – July 2-7, 2007

 

Presented by Robotics Team 399 Lancaster High School in partnership with NASA Dryden Flight Research Center and the AERO Institute.

 

Hands-on introductory robotics course for grades 6, 7, 8, and 9th. Also invited are members of Boys and Girls Scouts, and other youth organizations. The course shows that working with robots is FUN and that science and engineering are merely tools that make robots work. Students worked in teams of 4 to 5 to participate. Monitored by Chairman Award Recipients Lancaster High School Eagle Robotics Team 399. Morning session is the NASA educational component/concept lecture, in the afternoon is the robot assembly using VEX Robotics kit. Held at the AERO Institute, 38256 Sierra Highway, Palmdale CA 93550, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
