I've been taking photos since about 2003.

The goal of my photos is to create "beautiful" images.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Or, to put it another way: The collection of pixels must be able to evoke positive emotions in the viewer; then it becomes a good picture.

Otherwise, it remains just a collection of pixels.

Reportage photography ("Weather today at 8:00 in Regensburg") or snapshots ("Kim at the fair, photographed from a low angle on the left") don't interest me.

I shoot exclusively digitally.

Since photography is a hobby, and even the best camera is useless if it's just sitting at home, the weight and size of the equipment are important to me.

Since 2005, I've shot exclusively in RAW. Image editing is a key element of my image composition, not "manipulation."

When shooting reportage or documentary images, different standards for what's "acceptable" certainly apply.

Initially, my main software tools were Lightroom 3, Nik Tools, and PaintShop Pro XIII. I also used Tufuse and Hugin for specialized tasks.

Since 2024, I've primarily used Luminar Neo and Nik Tools.

Hallo zusammen,

ich fotografiere seit ca. 2003.

Ziel meiner Bilder ist es, "schöne" Bilder zu machen.

"Schönheit liegt im Auge des Betrachters".

Oder interpretiert: Die Pixelsammlung muß positive Emotionen im Betrachter auslösen können, dann wird sie zum guten Bild.

Sonst bleibt sie eine Pixelsammlung.

Reportage ("Wetter heute um 8:00 in Regensburg") oder Schnappschüsse ( "Kim auf der Kirmes von unten links schräg fotografiert" ) interessieren mich nicht.

Ich fotografiere ausschließlich digital.

Da Fotografieren Hobby ist und dies beste Kamera nichts nützt, wenn Sie zu Hause liegt, spielt Gewicht und Größe der Ausrüstung für mich eine wichtige Rolle.

Seit 2005 fotografiere ich ausschließlich in RAW. Die Bildbearbeitung ist für mich ein zentraler Baustein in der Bildgestaltung, nicht "Manipulation".

Wenn man Reportagebilder oder Dokumentationen macht, sind hier sicher andere Maßstäbe an das "Zugelassene" anzulegen.

Zunächst waren die wichtigen Softwaretools sind Lightroom 3 , NIK- Tools und Paintshop Pro XIII. Ergänzend für Spezialaufgaben kommen Tufuse und Hugin zu Einsatz.

Seit 2024 setze ich haptsächlich Luminar Neo und die Nik - Tools ein.
