Both my parents sparked my interest in taking photos. When I was 13, I picked up my father's old Minolta Dimage Z1, and the world of digital photos opened before me. But the passion for nature photography of my mom took over me with its many facets, including the technical aspects and artistic expression. Over the years, I learned a lot about the physics of light and processing of digital images especially during the training in bioimaging. This only deepened my understanding and passion for photography even more. The background in life sciences and the affinity to flower and animal portraits are the reason I am mostly into genres like macros, landscapes or wildlife in nature. But occasionally, I also shoot some urban scenes in the streets.

But I enjoy looking at other peoples art, no matter the genre, so let's talk about photography more often!
