Drag to set position!
I live in Melbourne Australia and I've been a professional photographer over the past 15 years, and before that a teacher in an art school. My photo business was with documenting artworks - a sometimes finicky job that requires care and skill and some sympathy and understanding of the works in front of the lens. For my own interest I enjoy travel photography and nature photography, and street photography where I feel comfortable doing so. I have recently spent 4 years on a project which ended up as a book called The Flinders Ranges - a Delicate Balance. It was set in a dry but beautiful region of South Australia, and primarily looks at the special beauty to be found in such ancient regions. It also includes some part of the story of colonisation and the take over of lands once owned by First Nations People (Aboriginal). I also like urban photography but find it restrictive given the anxiety people in the street feel about having their image taken. At the moment my big job is revising my archives, removing things I will never need and picking the better images to keep. My travels have included India, Turkey, New Zealand, Japan and a few parts of Italy. I sometimes like to shoot related sequences. I will be posting more albums over time. Thanks for looking, and any comments welcome.
