Getting into old hobby, last camera was Nikon D80 so its been a while. At first bought best camera phone available at the moment with photography kit so i get mechanical two stage shutter button, few other controls and grip with thumb rest, so i can get idea what camera to get. Winning option at the moment is used full frame Sony because affordable lens selection new and used and i do not need latest video options as i can take 4k video max.120fps with my phone if needed or fastest AF, but i do need good low light performance and IBIS, been looking A7C and A7 III. Post is also different because as this is hobby i am not going to pay monthly fees for adobe, ON1 Photo RAW 2025 PC/Mobile, phones own editor and snapseed are my choices.

Went to store try cameras in hand, A7C which i rejected immediatly ergonomics, touch screen menus lacking, EVF and physical controls. A7III felt good in hand but no fully articulating screen, and so i tried S5 and that was it, has all functions i needed and thousand more, ergonomics was great to me, just the right size and only thing lacking is PDAF, they had only one used in shelf for 650€ and in very used condition. Went home and found store which had new S5D wih 18-40mm kit lens for 999€ so ordered it thursday and friday had new camera in hand, now learning to use it. That kit lens is quite useless this time of year, low light performance is terrible, in bright sun no problems so keeping it for summer, very compact size lens when closed. Ordered TTartisan 75mm F2 lens hopefully better low light performance.
