I have loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember– usually as a means of documenting a trip or event. Recently, I took an Intro to Photography Class at UMKC. This has changed how I use photography. While I still use it to document, I see it as more of a creative tool. Not only can I take a picture of something, I can also influence the viewer to feel the way I felt when seeing a scene. I gravitate towards nature and macro images in my photography. I also have discovered that I enjoy taking pictures of the way light shows up in our lives.
