SQUELCH has existed in some way or another in my mind since around 2012 when I got my first digital SLR. I’ve built my visual archive of photographic and digital art since then, slowly developing my style with each shot and post processing. Finally I decided to formalise it all by founding SQUELCH studio in 2025.
What began as a private obsession with images, distortion, and memory has grown into a personal solo studio: a personal archive I’ve put forward as a brand. Every frame, every zine, every visual artefact released through SQUELCH is conceived, captured, and constructed by me.
The name SQUELCH comes from radio — the act of cutting static to isolate a signal. That’s the mission of SQUELCH: to silence the visual and background noise and surface something stranger, quieter, more resonant. Gritty, nostalgic, and stylised, my work draws from street textures, liminal architecture, and forgotten places.
SQUELCH studio is where I publish display, archive and sell photographic prints, photo zines, and whatever else surfaces from the static.
