Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m Alex, and after many years of focusing too much on work, I finally picked rail photography back up and returned to what first drew me behind the camera. My hobby centers on documenting the history, people, and places shaped by the rails across the Midwest, because without the railroads, many of our communities would not be here today. Preserving those stories is what keeps me behind the camera.
