Bani Mokawas (b. 1985, Lattakia, Syria) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dubai, known for his richly detailed oil paintings, large-scale murals, and intricate historical crafts. Entirely self-taught, Bani blends fine art with traditional craftsmanship—carving wood and stone, forging replica armor and weapons, and creating jewelry, chests, and trinkets that echo the legacy of ancient civilizations.
His work draws deep inspiration from Roman and Mesopotamian history, a passion that permeates both his visual art and his craftsmanship. In addition to the visual arts.
Bani’s artwork has been exhibited at notable venues including the Lattakia Museum (2007), Inanna Gallery in Lattakia (2008), and the National Museum in Damascus (2010).
