Julian Lynch has created a unique photography service that provides photography services in Brisbane, Australia. Through 32 years of professional experience working with young people, he specialises in capturing honest and authentic photos of children and young people.

The path arriving here was an education in itself. Originally photographically trained in the rigid conformity of rules of school photography, realising, however, that I wasn't truly capturing the spirit or essence of my subjects, I commenced drawing on my drama/theatre teaching film background. A new door of thinking suddenly opened up. I ventured forth into play, and I realised that young people and children were very open when they were honestly engaged by the photographer who was playful and engaged them and their surroundings.

One of the biggest doors to open up young people and children to the camera is to keep a sense of play, plus when you throw in a dynamic musical playlist, the magic turns up.

In my post-processing work, I attempt to keep faithful to the original image, thus keeping it authentic. I'm continually fascinated, though, by the moments between people that can be captured with a camera.

One can highlight that special connection between souls. These moments are fleeting and seldom captured.
