Who is Greta K.? Why Beauty & Spirit Arts?

I have been trying to be an artist since I was a child. I have drawn & colored, taken photographs, done water color painting, and wrote many styles of calligraphy over the years, along with so many other types of art. None of which I am expert at, but art and creativity has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. I seem to have a rubberband relationship with it. Drawing closer to it and being dedicated to the art and then wanting to risk sharing it with others. Only to give up in frustration that I can't figure out how to get better or make prorgress or I am sad that my work does not seem to strike a chord with others as I had hoped. Posting here on Flickr is my way of trying to share my work with others in hopes that someone might feel seen and hopefully encouraged by the Beauty & Spirit inside themselves and also see the Beauty & Spirit in this wondrous world.

Nature, photography, calligraphy, art, and reading, have been sources of inspiration, comfort, and connection for me ever since I was a little girl. These creative pieces of myself have helped me to express my inner world and to connect with the world around me in a way that brings me hope and some sanity.

It is my hope that these pieces bring you a bit of understanding, hope, and beauty, maybe even a smile, into your life and into your spirit. I wish for you strength, acceptance, and growth for who you were, are, and the best you that you are becoming.
