My name is Hala and the rest is pretty simple: I love photography. Isn't it so nice that someone out there created this medium for all of us visual-obsessed people? If the answer is yes, then I'm glad you're here :).

I've always been pretty interested in photography. I don't know where it started, but if I had to guess, my interest stems from my sentimental nature, where I find photos to be the cure to my reminiscence of the past. I remember looking back at old pictures of my family and thinking, "wow, I'm so glad we have these." Since then, I've been an eager patron of this art, shooting photos of anything, anywhere, anytime (when I feel like it).

I especially love to take pictures of people. My favorite photographer: Vivian Maier. While I work up to her level, I mainly focus on capturing the beauty I find in my everyday. I think of photography not only as an art, but as an important part of our history and culture. To be able to compress such fleeting expressions into a timeless moment is a gift to humanity. In a way, photography -is- humanity. Photography is beautiful, and it is beauty that we can learn, learn from, share, and save.
