I have been taking pictures since the late 1980s, starting with a visit to the Loire valley with my first camera, a Pentax P30. I moved to digital in 2003 and restarted to shoot analogue in 2024, now developing black and white, as well as color at home. I consider myself an opportunistic hobby photographer, who tries to fit the craft into my life, rather than the other way around: I mostly shoot street, landscape, and travel photography, often in bursts, as the titles of my albums suggest. Photography has become a complement to my work as a sustainable development researcher and educator. I aim to capture images in a way that raise questions about what is too often taken for granted, hoping that photography can serve as a means of the kind of critical reflection that would serve us well during these trying times.
