My photography interests are all over the place… As of late, my focus has been on photographing nature (birds, plants, insects), but being a USAF brat, I can’t resist the urge to photograph aircraft when an opportunity presents itself.

I was introduced to the world of photography by my dad when I was young and have dabbled in the hobby to various degrees over the years.

I have always had an interest in birds, insects, wildlife and nature and recently decided to begin upgrading my photography gear to combine my love for the natural world with my interest in photography. I’m not where I want to be yet, but progress is progress. The ride is half the point anyway, am I right?

Unfortunately, we lost dad to lymphoma in May of 2024. Still having my dad’s old Pentax camera gear on hand, I recently decided to begin shooting with his vintage lenses on my DSLR’s as a way to connect with the memory and nostalgia of having him share this hobby with me. This sparked an interest in vintage glass that I’ve not been able to shake, so we’ll see where that takes me.
