I started out as an art major, but graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from UT. Since then, I have worked as costume designer, a bridal gown designer, and a visual merchandiser while continuing to take art classes in drawing, painting, and pottery. I have never considered myself an “artist”, I prefer the term “creator” because I love to create - clothing, cakes, cards, collages. My first love is fabric, which translate to my fascination with texture and color. This is the reason I am drawn to collage, mixed media, and most recently, encaustic.
