I'm a photographer living in South West France (by way of Manchester and Hampshire, England). I've been taking photos as a hobby since I was 15 in 1977 (Zenit-E).

Through the 1980s and 1990s I was shooting on a Pentax ME Super using home developed Ilford Film and Kodak Slide film.

Since 2001 I have shot almost exclusively on Digital. I now shoot a variety of Canon DSLRs & Mirrorless (5Dmk1, 6Dmk1, R6mk2) plus my Fuji X100V (the perfect Street tool).

I shoot anything and everything but would choose Street Photography and portraiture above anything else (I shoot Landscape and Nature for other people's pleasure rather than my own).

I think cameras were plenty good enough for most people 10 years ago and my latest camera, the Canon R6 Mk2 is realistically all the camera I will need for the next 10 years but, if I was left with just my 5D mk1 "classic" I would be equally happy to shoot with that.

Chris Killip, Shirley Baker, Vivian Maier, Rodney Smith and Don McCullin are my (current) influences, although my attempts at emulating them are fairly pathetic.
