I'm a musician, living in Berlin, who loves good photos.

As a child I played arround with the camera from my father - years later I bought my first SLR camera and photography has been with me till now - with short or longer interruptions.

Now I am on Flickr since one year and it's exciting for me to show my photos to a wider audience.

I come from the film and analog era of photography and still try to photograph in that spirit – that is, despite all the spontaneity, I still think beforehand about whether and how I'm going to take the photo.

Every now and then I pick up old cameras and film to reconnect with my roots and to exercise discipline – plus, I like this analog look a lot!

Currently, I mostly use old manual lenses with a modern full- or medium-format camera, sometimes a Micro Four Thirds. For me, this is a nice compromise between modern technology and manual photography. I like the feel and charm of these old lenses. Modern lenses are sometimes too perfect and sterile for me.

I do like b/w photography, but it's not everything – the world is full of wonderful colors!

I try to keep post-processing to a minimum and prefer a natural look without excessive perfection. Besides, I don't strive for perfection in photos; I find that rather boring. Nevertheless, an aesthetically perfect image has its appeal!

Sometimes I'm very busy and I don't manage to like or comment on my friends' photos... This isn't ignorance, it's simply a lack of time, and I apologize for that!

If people in the pictures do not want to be seen in public, please contact me and I will remove the photo.
