I lived in the United Counties Omnibus Company operating area for nearly 30 years before moving to West Sussex in 1988. Spent 49 years working in the bus industry, starting with eight and a half years in various posts and locations for United Counties, including part time bus conducting and driving at Bedford. Then I worked for the Northamptonshire County Council Public Transport Section for two and a half years, moving on to London Buses for a couple of years as a Schedules Compiler for Leaside District mostly based at Manor House. Finally from 1988 until retirement in 2024 I was at West Sussex County Council Public Transport Section/Transport Co-ordination Group.

The uploaded photographs were all taken by me personally apart from a few colour pictures from early 1970 taken by my father. The photos are mostly copies of colour slides.
