Amateur Photographer with an Interest in B&W Street Photography.
"If you are not uncomfortable, you are not close enough..."
I was a traditional family photographer first with various Canon materials (EOS 50, EOS 20D, EOS 7D and some few L lenses) but one day at the end of 2012 I realised that it was all too heavy to carry around (i even had a backpack on my back while shooting...) and decided to sell everything SLR related to buy a second hand film camera, the 1985 Leica MP with a Summicron 50 f/2 and start learning photography really with an understanding of the ISO-Aperture-Speed triangle. I ventured in Street Photography and Black & White world, I was shooting mainly TX400. Then I wanted to own a real vintage piece and I found a Leica M2 from 1961 (my birth year) with a Summicron 50 f/2 from 1957. I started to use a Sekonic analog lightmeter as well. I like to shoot at 1.5m-2.5m distance with Range Focus.
As my work was bringing me to travel to many places in Asia and Africa, I always managed a time for Street Photography. My gear evolved alongside with adding a Fuji X100 then Leica M (typ240) that I swapped couple of years after for a Leica M10-P Safari. I also explored streets with a Ricoh GR2. I added couple of other lenses too along the way: Elmarit 28 f/2.8, Summicron 35 f/2 Asph, Apo-Summicron 90 f/2 Asph, Super-Elmar 21 f/3.4 Asph, Summaron 28 f/5.6 and Summilux 50 f/1.4 Asph. My latest acquisition was a Leica Q2 Monochrome to explore the depth of B&W tones. I will publish here on Flickr my work throughout couple of decades, I hope you enjoy.
