Calum's Fossils
Drag to set position!
Hello! I’m Calum, a 24-year-old from Lancashire, Britain, with a lifelong fascination for the natural world. Although my academic path led me to study Ecology and Conservation as my degree, my passion for palaeontology and the ancient past has never waned. I’m particularly drawn to palaeoecology and evolution, especially in those remarkable living fossils like tadpole shrimp and clubmosses that have changed little over millions of years.
Here on this gallery, I’m sharing my personal fossil finds, where my location and special fondness for the Carboniferous period and palaeobotany shows, though there's a huge variety. While I strive to identify and classify my fossils accurately, I’m still learning and there are likely mistakes or overestimations of how precisely a fossil can be identified to low taxonomic levels. I welcome any feedback or guidance you might have in the comments!
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you enjoy exploring these glimpses into the ancient past with me.
