I am a retired engineer living in Ventura County in Southern California. I enjoy capturing the outdoors in my imagery: landscapes, macro/closeup, and all types of nature photography. I started in film photography many decades ago and transitioned to digital in the mid-2000s and have really embraced the added editing flexibility afforded by digital cameras. I truly enjoy hiking in our National Parks and capturing memories of the experiences with family and friends. I do tend to be intrigued by colors, patterns, and textures and this is reflected in many of my compositions.
