I am a total amateur photographer - I have no training, never been on a course and am not great on the technical side. I think my only asset is I'm not bad at framing a picture in my mind. My first serious camera was an Olympus OM10 which I used for a long time, with a 28-70 wide angle zoom as the default, and an 80-210 zoom occasionally. Then digital happened and I found lugging around a heavy SLR, 3 lenses and film was a pain in the neck. Also my family had got fed up with every photo taking 10 minutes to set up, so I got a Canon G7 compact, which isn't as flexible but has not let me down. Most recently I have to confess I've fallen into the really bad habit of just taking my I-phone SE, which (because the Canon is now 17 years old) takes better pictures, sadly.
