My wife took ill some months ago and in dealing with her health issues, my focus shifted from my hobbies to supporting her. I found that my appetite for photography had declined to a large extent. She's still not better but she's on the mend and I again derive pleasure from making pictures.

My offering on these pages will be what I regard as my best images and I try to maintain a reasonable technical standard. Every now and then though, an image of lesser merit may come through driven by sentiment rather than technical merits (like my 'Kuwait Cat' image). But, hey, I'm not all lenses and circuit boards!

The photographers I follow are people whose work appeals to me, whose portfolios I go back to to study. I look at how they deal with specific subjects and styles like land- or seascapes, minimalism, street photography or how they use certain elements to give their image the effect they want to achieve. My list of photographers is by no means exhaustive but I must thank them for their contribution.
