As a very voung child. I spent many hours watching sunlight play across the patterns
and colors of my family's collection of antique oriental rugs. Even then, I wanted
to express the exquisite beauty of the rugs and how the flickering sunlight illuminated
the rugs' brightly colored patterns. My Grandmother and Uncle were artists. and i wanted
to follow in their footsteps. I create paintings, collages and assemblages. My work is an attempt
create a visual record of my life"s iourney. The passage of time and the intimate
moment are recurring themes. Many of my images are inspired by hiking
trips around the world. I have a BFA from Boston University and an MFA in printmaking from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz and have shown my work at the Hammond Museum of Art. Arts Westchester the Katonah Museum and many other locations in the New York area. I was granted a residency from the Catskill Mountain Foundation 2014 and a Yonkers Artist Initiative Grant in 2017.
I create mixed media paintings, installations, and collages.
